Below are examples are some sites either designed, or coded, by Duncan O'Neill as an independent contractor, or under the umbrella of Easinet. Some projects are hosted by Easinet, and some have been done under contract to Easinet. Others have been designed by McGovern & Associates, and coded by Duncan O'Neill under contract. Almost all of the sites below are coded in valid (X)HTML, and use CSS for layout.

71 Miles

This is a California-based travel and leisure site run on the Wordpress engine and coded in XHTML strict and CSS. I was contracted to update their version of Wordpress, make some design and functional changes to both the front-end and the Wordpress backend, and migrate the site to a new server and host.visit site

Lumena Plaster

This is a site for a Bay of Plenty plastering contract company, who wanted a site to show-case their work and attract new clients. It is developed by Duncan O'Neill using the Wordpress engine, with plugins, and the design is updated from a chosen Wordpress theme.visit site

Zambesi

This site is a small design face-lift for the well-known clothes design label. The site was designed by Helen Smith of McGovern & Associates. It was cut and coded in valid XHTML and CSS by Duncan O'Neill. I also did some back-end coding in integrating parts of the site with McGovern's ASP.NET-based Scripts management system.visit site

Le Petit Hotel

This site is designed and coded by Urban Legend web design ( Duncan O'Neill ) , and hosted at Easinet. Phase 1 of the project, a 'preliminary advertising' site, launched March 2004. It is a dynamic site whose content was originally managed via an easy-to-use and relatively simple content management system, and which relies on a backend database to hold bookings information. In June 2009, it was ported to the Wordpress publishing platform. The site uses CSS for layout, PHP as the 'middleware' language, and uses a database managed by mysql. visit site

The most recent project for the same client involved coding an online booking management system, allowing to owner to easily manage and confirm bookings. This system uses a customised version of the open-source MRBS to display and allow the owner to add, edit, and update booking information entered via the main website above by users, or by the owner himself. Note that only logged-in admin users can see details of bookings.visit site

Artspace

Ths site is for a North Shore art gallery, and is designed by Helen Smith of McGovern & Associates. Its layout, including top-level subsections, is coded by Duncan O'Neill of Easinet using valid XHTML. It uses McGovern's content management system to allow the client to enter and edit content.visit site

Market Books

This site is for a Whangarei bookshop specialising in rare, collectable, and historical New Zealand Books. It uses the Wordpress platform as the publishing engine, allowing the bookshop owners to add and remove book listings at will. It features a wordpress E-commerce plug-in, which lets visitors buy books from the site in real time. Its design is by Duncan O'Neill and the site owners.visit site

John Leech Gallery

Ths site is for an Auckland art gallery, and is designed by Helen Smith of McGovern & Associates. Its layout, including top-level subsections, is coded by Duncan O'Neill of Easinet using web standards. It uses McGovern's content management system to allow the client to enter and edit content.visit site

Jacqui Walker, Photographer

This site, for a top Auckland photographer, is designed in partnership with the owner, and coded, by Urban Legend Web Design. Its design is intended to take a back seat to the featured photographs. It is laid out and coded to web standards, using CSS for layout, and coded using valid XHTML. visit site

This site was designed by Helen Smith of McGovern & Associates. It is hand-coded using standards-compliant XHTML, CSS and Javascript by Duncan O'Neill of Urban Legend web design from supplied files.visit site

Katherine Mansfield House

This site was designed by Helen Smith of McGovern & Associates, and hand-coded from supplied files. It is an early example of using CSS for layout and XHTML, and is driven by an in-house content management system.visit site

Philactica

This site was designed and coded by Urban Legend web design, under the Easinet banner, and hosted at Easinet. It showcases stamps for sale from all over the world, and includes a private area allowing the client to update the database. The site uses CSS for layout, and is written in valid HTML. This was a pre-designed website which McGovern contracted me to re-code in CSS, and integrate with their in-house ASP.NET-based Scripts content management system.visit site

Easinet

This site, for a Whangarei ISP, was designed by Urban Legend Web Designs, and Anthony Head of Easinet. I wrote all of the HTML, CSS for positioning, and PHP which is used to run both the site and the simple content management system behind it, as well as creating the header graphic in Flash. Aalto Colour

This site was coded by Duncan O'Neill, under contract to McGovern & Associates. As the website says:

Aalto Colour was founded in 1992 and now has outlets in Auckland, Christchurch and Perth. Aalto specialises in the construction of fine colours in quality surface coatings

Te Kotahi ā Tūhoe

Most of this site's front end was again, coded by Duncan O'Neill, under contract to McGovern & Associates. The site was set up to represent Ngāi Tūhoe iwi, and their claims under the Waitangi Tribunal. visit site

Child Of Zion

This site is a personal weblog, a soapbox to put forward the author's ideas on Christianity. It uses the Wordpress platform as the publishing engine, allowing the site owner to add and manage his own content. Its design is adapted from a pre-designed template ( link on the site ).visit site

Telework Australia

Ths site was designed by Helen Smith of McGovern & Associates. Its layout and look, including top-level subsections, is coded by Duncan O'Neill of Easinet. It uses McGovern's content management system to allow the client to enter and edit content.visit site

Go Wireless

This is a fast-turnaround, budget site designed by Duncan O'Neill for a local start-up wireless broadband company via Easinet. It uses valid XHTML and CSS for layout, and uses a javascript calculator on the savings page. visit site

Electrotrade

This is a semi-dynamic brochure site for a Whangarei company specialising in domestic whiteware appliance installation and repair. It is designed by Easinet, and is coded using web standards for faster loading and greater accessibility.visit site

EEANZ

This site is for the Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia, and is designed by Helen Smith of McGovern & Associates. Its layout, including top-level subsections, is coded by Duncan O'Neill of Easinet using web standards. Barbara O'Sullivan

This site is a showcase for this Whangarei artist, who produces fine contemporary abstract art. The original design is not Easinet's. But some content, as well as the design, has been updated, and text has been modified for easier reading, and better search engine placement. visit site
